Year1 C continued to celebrate the Year of Tolerance by incorporating their class assembly on TOLERANCE on Thursday 27th February 2020.
The performance was based on 3 different acts .The behavior of children in class, family’s behavior at home and bird’s intolerance towards how the other bird looked. They performed confidently in front of a huge audience (children, parents and teachers). It was an informative event as the children shed light on the importance of Tolerance in their everyday lives and successfully conveyed the key points to the audience. The dance on tolerance was fantastically performed by the children. The parents were overwhelmed by the confident presenters.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a play is worth a million words. The theatrical show on Aladdin and the magic lamp organized by Shakespeare for kidz had the children listening with curiosity and watching with memorization. Children were engrossed watching the characters as they enacted and sang with perfect clarity and emotion. The entire setting, costume and music took children to the magical world. The objective is to develop social, personal and drama skills in the children. The children laughed, sang and applauded showing their love for theatre.
Learning English by communicating, drawing, working on activities etc is what children of Year 1 demonstrated to their parents. They played the role of teachers presenting the activities and working in teams with zeal. The theme was based on fairy tales and children and teachers were dressed as their favourite fairy tale characters. The children sang a lovely song as a starter. A plethora of activities like cross word puzzle, enacting a character, creating your own setting etc. Parents were amazed to see the length and depth at which a language can be covered in a classroom. The grand finale with a quiz using PPT had the parents putting on their thinking caps to answer the questions. Parents were delighted to see their little ones as confident little teachers and it was reflected in their feedback.
The students of year 1I presented the assembly on Reading. Children were encouraged to read anytime anywhere. This will help them to keep themselves occupied with constructive learning as well as improve their vocabulary. Through this wonderful act the shining stars of 1I helped everyone to know the importance of reading and how it can give them confidence and further build up their personality.
Indeed, a proud moment to the watch the little ones enact with zeal and confidence. |
