Global Dignity Day is a worldwide celebration that highlights the concept that every human being has dignity and that dignity must be respected. This auspicious day was celebrated at the Winchester school on the 7th of October.
The day began with a discussion on the significance of global dignity and SEWA day and emphasis was laid on the fact that everyone is equal in this world and that everyone has equal rights. The activities conducted were very heart warming and pleasing. Children wrote thoughtful messages for the hard working people they see around them (in school) commenting on their chores and thanking them in their own special way! The little ones also cleaned and scrubbed their classroom tables in appreciation of the efforts done every day by the cleaners. They felt responsible and proud as they read stories confidently to the FS2 children who were delighted to listen to them. They enjoyed the activities and felt really proud of the work they did. Well done children …keep shining!
